Merchant Subscription Cancellation Instructions

If your 8V credit card is linked to a merchant subscription service (such as Apple Music, Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, Amazon, Lazada, GoDaddy, Office, etc.), please note that the subscription cannot be canceled directly through the 8V app. You will need to visit the official account management page of each merchant and manually follow their cancellation process. Below is a general guide to canceling subscriptions:

Steps to Cancel a Subscription:

  1. Confirm the Subscribed Merchant
    Log in to your credit card account, check your transaction history, and identify the subscribed services and corresponding merchant names.
  2. Visit the Merchant’s Website or App
    Based on your subscription, log in to the merchant’s official website or mobile app using the registered account details (email, phone number, etc.).
  3. Locate the Subscription Management Section
    In the account settings, find options like “Subscription Management,” “Payment Settings,” or “Account & Payments.” The naming may vary depending on the merchant.
  4. Cancel the Subscription
    In the subscription management section, locate the service linked to your credit card, click “Cancel Subscription” or a similar option, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the cancellation.
  5. Verify Cancellation
    After cancellation, it is recommended to keep the confirmation email or take a screenshot and check your next billing statement to ensure that no further charges are deducted.

Important Notes:

  • Avoid Linking the Same Card to Multiple Accounts on the Same Platform
    To prevent confusion or duplicate charges, do not link the same card to multiple accounts on the same subscription platform (e.g., Apple Music, Amazon). If multiple accounts are linked, log in to each account and cancel any unnecessary subscriptions.
  • Cancel in Advance to Avoid Charges
    Some subscription services renew automatically based on billing cycles. It is advisable to complete the cancellation before the next billing date to avoid additional charges.
  • Repeated Payment Failures May Lead to Card Locking
    If a subscription service attempts multiple failed transactions, your card may be temporarily locked due to security mechanisms. To avoid disruptions, promptly cancel any unnecessary subscriptions or ensure sufficient account balance.
